Five Questions With ... Pete Saco

Pete Saco is the California Interscholastic Federation Sac-Joaquin Section commissioner. His organization oversees 186 high schools, making it the second largest in the state behind the Southern Section. Nicknamed "The Czar" by some, Saco is arguably the most influential of the state's 10 section commissioners. He came up with the concept for the State Championship Football Bowl Games, which started in 2006 with six teams and three divisions, and expands to 10 teams and five divisions this season....(more)
